Dr. Googe is excited to announce that Neil Coleman, MD has joined the staff of dermatopathologists at Knoxville Dermatopathology Laboratory. Neil will begin signing out cases July 7th.
Dr. Neil Coleman is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology and is subspecialty board eligible in Dermatopathology. He has a degree in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma and attended medical school at the University of Kansas. Dr. Coleman completed his pathology training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he also received training in dermatopathology under the direction of Drs. Jon Reed and Jonathan Curry.
Neil's arrival adds further depth to our dermatopathology staff. With his help, we will further our efforts to provide reliable diagnostic reporting and quality patient care.

Implemented web-based access to case reporting for practices and
physicians with passwords to secure site. Case reports and case status
information is updated moments after it is entered on KDL's HyperPath
system. Any physicians or practices who send cases to KDL who would
be interested in being able to access information on their cases from
the KDL secure server should contact KDL for more information.

KDL received formal notification of accreditation by the College of
American Pathology. The accreditation is for Anatomic Pathology:
Surgical Pathology and is valid for the two-year period ending 1/8/2000.

Knoxville Dermatopathology Laboratory has recently completed an
inspection by the Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College
of American Pathology. No deficiencies were identified during the
inspection. Accreditation has been recommended and formal
notification will be forthcoming.
